The Largest Festival they Host is the annual September Oyster Festival in the Seaside Veterans Park. There are many booths, some rides and lots for Children to take in at the festival. The New Haven Folk Festival is an Annual September Festival in a waterfront park with many activities for Children The Stamford Downtown Services Group host numerous festivals and activities throughout the year. Some of the annual events which are geared toward Children and Families include the Thanksgiving Parade, Santa's arrival at the Stamford town center, and many Festivals with Arts and Crafts along Bedford Street. The Barnum Museum Bridgeport This museum has a lot of wax figurines, the original carriage for PT Barnum and Mrs. Barnum, original clothing and personal items of PT Barnum. On the top floor of the museum there is model circus tent with figurines. There is a small arts and craft area on the first floor and also a gift area with circus items, magic games and books. The Greenwich Library has a lovely Children's Library room on located on the third floor at the main branch. Reading programs for toddlers 3-5. There are 3 additional library branches in Greenwich, The Perot Library in Old Greenwich, The Cos Cob Library and the Byram Library each with different programs. The Greenwich library provides wonderful online resources through the central website which allows patrons to reserve books and DVD's online so the materials are ready for you when you arrive at the library. The Greenwich Library has an Art Gallery with changing exhibits and many special events such as movie nights, puppet shows, music programs, forums and book readings. The Ferguson Library Stamford this is the main branch in downtown Stamford. There are many Children's programs available although parking is often tricky because of the location. There is metered parking along Bedford,a parking lot behind the library and a Parking Garage at Burlington Coat Factory which is close by the library. There are 3 other Stamford Library branches, Harry Bennet Library Branch at Turn of the River, The Weed Library Branch in Springdale, and the South End Hollander Branch, many offer children's programs. Wilton Library A great children's library area and activity room for arts, crafts and children's movies which are shown throughout the year. A local artist has created a beautiful animal mural in this area and there are also many computers with children's educational games. Discovery Museum Bridgeport A Planetarium and many interactive displays for children.
